The LIV. Feel right. Feel healthy. Feel confident.

Many women have found breast lumps with the help of the LIV; mostly normal lumps. The LIV helps women become aware of what is normal for them. This is what the LIV is designed for — to raise awareness about your breast health. Increased awareness drives early detection and early detection saves lives. Especially younger women (40 years and younger) appreciate the LIV as they don’t often get mammograms. They rely on self awareness even more; and therefore the LIV is a valuable health tool for them.

Today, over one million women have a LIV. In 2009, “diane” magazine published stories about women who, with the help of the LIV, found lumps that led to their early diagnosis of breast cancer. Also, just recently a sales lady from the Livgeiger team was diagnosed with breast cancer after she noticed a lump while using the

iv. She is not yet 40 years of age and the LIV helped her to get in the routine of self-examination and self-awareness about her breast health. Read her story below. If you have your own LIV story and you want to share it, please contact us at office@bhsinter.com.

Breast Self-Exam
Leanne MacDonald

“I want to share how the LIV played a part in my diagnosis. I can’t say it was directly responsible, but it did play a part.

I got the LIV and tried it out myself. When I used the LIV the first couple of times, I did identify the lump that eventually was diagnosed as cancer. I am naturally lumpy, and they always say the bad lumps don’t hurt. (I don’t believe that mine was sensitive). Anyway, I wasn’t overly concerned since it was sensitive. That and another pain sent me to seek a “touch and feel” appointment with the breast care center at my doctor’s office. They checked and said it was fatty tissue. I was too young for a mamo. (I’m 39.)

One month later I was in Puerto Vallarta at the conference with my Mom and I noticed a dimple crease across that breast, one that wasn’t there a month ago. Well, I stood in front of the mirror the way the instructions are on the LIV, and, WOW, was it obvious. I came home and showed my husband and he said “you need to go to the doctor today.” I did. The “touch and feel” was inconclusive, but the mamo glowed like a Christmas tree. And you know the rest. The tumor was 1“ inches in diameter.

I am a firm believer in the LIV and as soon as I am back going full force I will present it to anyone who will listen to me!

I hope this information is helpful in its use and the importance- of breast self-exams in women of all ages!”

My self-exams had been spotty at best. But since I had just received the LIV Aid as a gift, I decided to try it. I was amazed when I found a small, pea-sized lump in my right breast that I would have never noticed without the LIV Aid. I quickly scheduled a doctor appointment. A nurse practitioner asked how I as able to feel such a small lump, so I pulled the LIV Aid out of my purse and showed her. (She thought it was a great product.) She then did an exam on me and quickly found the lump without any problem (on her own, without the LIV Aid). While she was confident that the

lump was fibrocystic and that I needn’t worry, she did recommend a mammogram because I had not had a mammogram since 2005. (My plan was to get my next mammogram when I turned 40.)

Thankfully she was right; the follow-up exams no longer found the lump, which was a relief! I wouldn’t have found this lump at all without the LIV Aid. But I am going to keep on top of it now! As a 39 year old woman with a history of fibrocystic breast lumps, I realize the importance of self-examination and I want to thank Ms. Newton-John and Curves for supplying this product and encouraging women to take care of their health.

“No other cause has united the Curves community like the fight against cancer— and specifically, breast cancer. When I heard that Olivia was behind this amazing early detection tool, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. After I used it myself, I couldn’t wait to get the LIV into the hands of a million women.”
